Overview:

Hong by Starlight Tour with John Gray Sea Canoe - the best Phang Nga Bay sea kayaking trip from Phuket

Get closer to Phang Nga Bay's stunning scenery than ever, seeing it in a light enjoyed by relatively few. Explore the hidden caves and lagoons and you to get right up close to the remarkable nature of the bay with this John Gray's Sea Canoe trip.

Our world-famous trip starts at midday, meaning that you avoid most of the crowds. We start with a tasty Thai lunch on the comfortable support boat during the journey out into Phang Nga Bay. After a briefing and a raptor show, your professional guide will take you out in a custom-made kayak to see the tidal nape sea caves.

Unlike the larger tour boats, you and your partner will be able to get right up to the striking iconic khasts of Phang Nga Bay - close enough to touch them. In fact, many of the limestone islands have been hollowed out by the motion of the waves, creating natural hongs (the Thai word for "room") which only kayakers can enter and explore. The hidden lagoons among the khasts are populated by macaques, water monitor lizards and exotic birds such as kingfishers, mudskippers, egrets, sea eagles and Brahminy kites.

Even after the sun sets, the adventure isn't over as fireflies and dinoflagellates (bioluminescent plankton) light up the bay in a beautiful soft glow. Guests can complete this spiritual experience by releasing a self-made "krathong" before enjoying a delicious seafood buffet during the trip back to the pier.
